I use Purolator oil filters on all of my cars and trucks. I have been selling Purolator oil filters for over 30 years now and never had a problem with any of my wholesale customers. For those who don't know, Purolator is the company that invented the oil filter for automobiles.

Purolator Per-49 is the equivalent of a AC PF25 and Purolator Per-4631 is the equivalent of a AC PF35 or PF1218.

Cut a Purolator open and compare it to a WIX or NAPA thats why we don't use them I would rather pay for a little more for a quality filter.

Bill,
THAT IS EXACTLY CORRECT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IT SCARED ME!
So, I installed the pressure plate/disc using an old tranny input shaft to center up the disc as best as possible (fingers crossed).
Then I had my son fire up the engine and let it idle. Felt smooth.
Then I had him accelerate the engine a few times. Felt smooth.
Then I installed the bell housing and tranny and repeated the above. Felt smooth.
Then I drove it, easy, slow, hard, fast, a couple of hard burnouts, drove it to Chevellabration in Nashville, went on a cruise to the NCM, made several passes down the strip, drove it back to OKC, still driving it. IT'S STILL SMOOTH!!!!!!
Soooooooooooooo, I'm guessing that whoever put that big balance weight on it knew what they were doing!
