Here is a pic of my recently installed AEM wideband gauge. I didnt want to put a double or triple gauge pod in, because...well...I dont need the extra gauges. I hope this helps some of you thinking about putting gauges in your Vette, but dont want a pod.

Seems to be becoming a common location for these now. However the last pic I saw of another members location was @ 1" above the vent.

Yours seems to be the top portion of the vent so how was that done? Also is there any issue with heat/cold air blowing on the back of the gauge if it is indeed in the vent?

1: Take the bezel out of the car that goes around the vent and around the cluster.

2: Remove the air vent held in by 2 clips to the back of the bezel/surround.

3: Take the air vent that you removed and do some modification to it by cutting it in half only leaving 3 of the horizontal vents still intact.

4: Take your gauge and wedge it in the air vent oval. Secure it using the strap from the back that comes with the gauge and the 2 nuts that screw to the back of the gauge.

5: Run all of your hookups and reinstall the bezel and you're done!


I have not noticed any issues with hot/cold air on the back of the gauge. I have even done this to multiple cars that I have had also!

You have headers for the wideband sensor bung, or did you install it into the cat casing on the stock exhaust?

What is great about that install is looks like you only have to cut the vent. Is that correct? If that is correct then returning the car to stock would entail the purchase of a replacement vent, rather then replacing the dash.

Yes I have Kooks 1 7/8 LT's....I installed the sensor in the rear o2 bung since I have the rear o2's turned off with HPTuners.


Yes you only have to cut the vent! Returning to stock would be as simple as buying a new vent from the dealer, RATHER than replace the whole dash.

I don't know what I like better...how slick this install looks...or that you don't have to carve up your dash or put a plastic A-pillar on!

ive had my AEM UEGO sitting in my garage for like 2 years now. it was gonna be installed in my previous car but i couldn't find a location to install because it had airbags in the a-pillars. i think im gonna do this when i install my LT's

p.s. do you run cats? or ru using the off-road pipe?

Does this gauge have a dimming feature that dims it when your headlights come on?
