I have a posi unit that may be from a corvette since the year of the date code is a single digit. The gear code is FH. Can someone tell me what this code belongs to? My numbers book does not have axle codes.

Oh yeah, the date code is feb 23 1960

I'm not seeing anything "FH" listed for any vettes 53-67 in the NCRS spec guide.

I have the NCRS "Corvette Specifications Guide" which will cover most numbers for a specific generation corvette. I also have their "Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide" (TIM) that addresses a specific year, both are available from their web site. "Corvette by the Numbers" by Alan Colvin is also a good source which is available at the NCRS site or Amazon, etc.

These books are Corvette specific & don't include the other Chevy codes.

He's talking about the codes on the Posi unit itself, not the codes stamped on the differential housing.
