Arizona Happenings
Greetings all! There are several active clubs located here in Arizona. I thought I'd post links to their respective web sites for information purposes (if they have one listed), along with a number of other sites that might be of interest to all of us Corvette lovers, from car shows to racing venues and even one of the top driving schools in the country.
Arizona Competition Corvettes http://azcompvettes.org/ A small club trying to get more Phoenix area Corvetters involved in autocrossing.

If I forgot anyone - my most humble apologies! Feel free to PM me with additions, deletions, corrections, etc. If any of the clubs listed have an email address or a web site URL - I'd love to edit this post with that information too!
The National Corvette Museum is going to be celebrating 15 years of it's existence. To help celebrate, there is a web site for the formation of a Corvette Caravan with the destination being the NCM. There is a link to a web site at the end of this paragraph for those interested in participating. There is a lot of information available and as of 9-26-2007 there are already 16 cars registered. The trip info is there and anyone can register, but be sure, if you want to join the Caravan, to designate it. Hope to see ya all there. Bob Kroener is the Caravan Captain and his contact information is there. Feel free to contact him with any questions you might have. http://nationalcorvettecaravan.com/az-nm/
There are cruise nights seemingly every night of the week here in Arizona in locations all over the state. There are also car shows all over the state - though most are not Corvette only events. There is a handy web page that has all of this information, and rather than type it all - here's a link to it that you might find helpful.....
http://www.cruisinarizona.com/home.html
I just recently came across another web page that lists activties in the entire southwest - Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, Colorado and New Mexico. Pretty cool - check it out!
http://www.desertcruisers.com/index.php
Locally in the Phoenix Metro area - the biggest and longest running show is certainly the one at the Pavilions located at the Loop 101 and Indian Bend in Scottsdale. They even have their own web page....
http://www.pavilionscarshow.com/
For those of you that are racing enthusiasts - whether it drag racing, track racing, or autocross, here are some interesting links that might be of help.
Here's a link to a cool new web site that gives you current racing news of all types, drag racing, IRL, NASCAR, F1 as well as availability of racing fuel, it's current prices and where to get the "go juice"! There is also a forum where you can have lively discussions with other racing enthusiasts - check it out!
www.arizonaautoracing.com
SCCA Solo II autocross http://www.azsolo2.com/
Firebird International Raceway - a venue for NHRA sanctioned events as well as Friday night "street drags" and bracket racing. Also home to the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving, and the location of some of the AZ Solo II events -
http://www.firebirdraceway.com/
We are very fortunate to be able to include the premier driving school in the country as a part of the Arizona motorsports scene - here is a link to that fantastic facility..... If you aren't familiar with Bob Bondurant, he has a strong and long history with Corvettes, and his facility can now brag that many of the school vehicles are Corvettes. For someone looking to be able to experience the Corvette's capablities in it's element, the Bondurant School is the place!
http://www.bondurant.com/
Here's a link to the Northwest drag racing venue popular with our west side Phoenix friends...
http://www.speedworldmotorplex.com/
Phoenix International Raceway - an oval and roadcourse venue for NASCAR and ALMS. Some AZ Solo II events held at this location too.
http://www.phoenixintlraceway.com/
Manzanita Raceway - dirt track oval for sprint cars, modifieds, 1/2 and 1/4 midgets USAC sanctioned http://www.manzanitaspeedway.us/html/home.asp
Here's a very cool link that I picked up in a thread that I thought I'd share with you all - it's for all of the "canyon carvers" and cruise organizers that are always looking for something more fun than the freeways - after all, isn't that why we have Corvettes - check it out!
http://www.motorcycleroads.us/
So I hope that this might help those newbies to the Corvette scene as well as the experienced hands who might be looking for something to do.
As I stated earlier - if there is something you want changed - please contact me via PM here on the Forum and I will do my best to make that happen! If your informal group is planning a cruise and looking for interested parties to join you - let me know and I will post the information right here for you. This post will become a "sticky" at the top of the Southwest Forum page, and my hope is that it will become one of the first places you'll look for something to do, and you won't have to go digging around feverishly searching for the post....I know that feeling!

Dashboard Application
Can anyone recommend a procedure for cleaning and restoring my dashboard. 2007 C6 since new all I ever did was wipe with damp cloth, now it looks dull and streaky, as do the door panels.
What can I use to clean and restore it ?
I'm afraid to use leather cleaner, but am not sure what material the dash is made out of. Vinyl maybe.
Help and advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
