Vintage Air / Amp Draw
Guys,
My vintage air works great but every time I run it I notice that the amp meter goes way over to the right. I upgraded to the higher output alternator. It this a concern or just the way it is. If it is a concern what can I do to fix it.
thanks

I would say, you have it wired into the circuit that the gauge is monitoring. Wire it somewhere else.

How well does it cool. I used one of theres in my 64 elcamino and was not real impressed with the amount of cool. With temps getting to the 120's, I want to get ac in my 64 roadster, but am concerned that it may not cool well enough to be truely comfy inside.
I run a lt1/t56 in the 64 with an electric fan, which is also what is in my ecamino.

I saw a Corvette at a show in February that had a generator and an aftermarket AC. It wasn't one of those Powermaster Powergen alternators that look like a generator, either. The owner wasn't around so I didn't get a chance to ask how it functioned.

Larry: You need to connect the fan to the main bus connection on the horn relay.

Roy, Do you mean under the hood or at the fuse box? If you have a pic that would clear it up.
Thanks
