Is there a product that can be put on the weatherstripping to condition it? I think I heard mention of a product for this here but not sure. My weatherstripping is fine but thought it would be nice to care for it, maybe assure better seal for longer.

Anyone know of a name of a product and where to get?

I use Dow Corning Silicone grease, wipe on thin a thin layer with a rag.

Diaelectric grease, it is a silicone grease recommended by GM. Any auto store has it for about $5 for a large tube. Use once or twice a year.

Have used 303 protectant and dialectic grease
Definitely the 303 is easier and less messy

I used the dialectric grease for a few years but found it to be messy plus it attracted dirt and fuzz. Picked up some Adams rubber protectant last year at Bloomington G. Time will tell if it protects but it's way easier to use and seems to last. $.02

Work it in good and remove the excess.

Eastwood Company out of Pottstown, PA. has a spray can product that states it is a weatherstripe conditioner in addition to other uses.

"Son-of-a-Gun" protectant. Spray on rag and apply. Lasts 6 momths and cost-effective. Works great on all black trim, and tires.

I just worked it in with my thumb/fingers, and then removed excess with an old rag I threw away. Worked great, and had not residue/dust after using. Keeps the weather strippng soft.

I use Mother's back to black.

Any product with a UV protectant is key.
