Default Horn blows on its own.

Going to work at 5:15 and out of the driveway the horn goes off. Thinking it was me I move my left hand. But no matter where I put it on the wheel it blows. So I drive to work with only my right hand.

Checked it out during lunch time and the problem was gone but the horn did not work on the left side.

At home ended up removing the air bag and the parts just fell out like rain on both sides. Here a pix of how it came out. I can't believe the right side ever worked. This has got to be happening to some of the vette out there. Easy fix and cheep, $22

And no, I’m not a horn blower.

Great but were did you find the replacements? I have a 90 and found that the wheel is more like a 93 ...
Anyhow it has the left n right buttons horns work all the way up to the switches but it stops there

I just wanted to revive this thread. Has anyone had any luck finding replacement horn switches lately? I know the part number is 17999094. Every place I check they are discontinued. Are we just SOL? My horn is doing the same thing that the OP's is doing. I really need a horn here in Florida with all the crazies.

Any help is much appreciated,

Patrick
