Default LT1, LT2, LT3... What makes the difference?

Well folks, I'm sure that I should already know something as Corvette-basic as this, but I really don't know how to tell an LS1, from an LS2 and so on. I've looked at the "window sticker" for my car 'till I'm cross-eyed and I guess I'm missing the LS-whatever designation.

Please, someone, educate a Corvette novice.

Thanks,

Rob

Not sure if you are referring to the option packages or engines...

The easy way...

if you have the HUD display you have the 3LT
if you have side airbags you have the 2LT

LS2 05-07 model years
LS3 08 model year
LS7 Z06 model

Well it's pretty easy to tell you that no stock C6 will have an LS1.

First off the 1LT 2LT and 3LT. These are option packages and show on the window sticker. Then you LS2 LS3 and LS7. these are engines. The LS7 comes in the Z06. LS2 came in 05-07 coupes and convertibles. The LS3 comes in 08 coupes and convertibles.

I am going to go with LS2 considering the color of your car in your Avatar is DSOM.. but its a long day and I am only looking at your Avatar. other then that there is know way for us (as members here to tell you what trim package you have unless you look at the next line after (Standard Vehicle Price) on your window sticker It will tell you. or you can tell us what it has for options in the car.. Hope this helps

Disregard those two. Your profile shows you have an '05 sooooo........
you have a 1SB (same as 3LT for '06-'08) or,
you have a 1SA (same as 2LT for '06-'08).
There was also a 1SX (base no frills) but I doubt you have that.

And your engine is an LS2, 6.0 liter.

Hope that is what you were asking about.

Thanks, everybody!

My '05 (M6 coupe) has the "Preferred Equipment Group" (with the HUD, power, heated seats, 'memory', and a buncha other stuff); and also the "Z51 Performance Package."

Good evening to all!

OK you have an 05. For those the option packages here 1SX 1SA and 1SB. Since you have the HUD it's a 1SB.

Easy way to see what each is to compare is to go to Chevrolet.com and hit the "build your own" tab. This will allow you to see the various trim levels and what is included in each. You can also see what other options are out there and what they should cost (MSRP) without discount, etc. Hope that helps -

I am on this forum all day long! I love it! The members on here are amazing! My Boss Tommy Jr. and I love everyone here so much, we are visiting all our forum costomers and other members along the eastern seaboard in march for our "Vacation" this year! the list is up past 50 members already! and it grows everyday! We are very excited to finally meet customers and members from here who we have spoken with but havent had a chance to actually shake hands and meet face to face!! I have been counting down the days since I bought my ticket in December!
