Default 315's on Front?

92 Coupe...

Was wondering if 315's with an 11" rim (Grand Sport offset) would fit on the front. I seem to recall a member who ran this set-up for road racing. Comments?

Mojave is the member...and yes, it fits. He has even run 335's on all 4 with only minor rubbing at full lock. Those stick out a bit tho...

Yeah, 315's will fit with on 17x11 50mm offset no problem. The wheels WILL stick out just a tad, but it won't hurt anything. I ran my car lowered with Hoosier 335's, and they rubbed just a tad on the 'hood', but just barely. A 315 will be fine.

You can see how the 335 sticks out a little. The 315 will stick out too, but not as much.

edit: BTW, I should add they only rub at the track. Just driving on the street there was no rub, but 335 R comps tend to induce a bit of body roll.

We have run the 315's for some time with no issue. Our front suspension geometry is different though.

Side note, where did you get that wing(spoiler) Mojave?

Alan Blaine of Blaine Fabrication made it.

I run 315 all around for auto x on my car. My car is also lowered and no rubbing issues. I did have powersteering pump problems and not sure is the tires where the cause.

I don't mean to hijack this thread further, but what are you auto x guys using for shocks? Those 335 Hoosiers look evil on that back of that LTx!

We have the old yellow Koni sport Single adjustable's. If you don't want to spend the huge bux on the penske 2 or 3 way adjustable's. If you got the 5k+ go with the Penske's. The Koni single's you'll find that they are easy to get right as opposed to the multi adjustable's which are easy to f up the balance if you dont know how to set them.

And yes the 335 setup is almost worth it for the intimidation factor!
We now run the T1 setup in order to get tires cheaper and race more. 295/315 works for us.
