Default F/S: Tire Sensor/TPMS Reset Tool

Need a tool to reset your TPMS after swapping to your second set of wheels?

Here’s a Schrader 21210-DBL3 / Bartec Wheelrite Tech 300 for $220 shipped.

As you can see in the pictures, it says “Schrader-Bridgeport” on it (Schrader is the company that makes our C6 tire pressure sensors). But….inside it’s a Bartec Tech 300. You can see in the pictures below that the software loaded in the tool is the same as the Bartec. It’s made by Bartec but sold by Schrader as one of their TPMS “Air Aware” products.

MSRP for the tool is $479.95, but it’s regularly available on eBay for about $300.

You can read about the tool at both the Bartec and the Schrader websites:

http://bartecusa.com/products.html (it’s the 2nd tool down – the Tech 300, NOT the Trackside)

http://www.schrader-bridgeport.com/b...cation_id=4816 (it’s the 1st tool shown – the model 21210)

This is a new tool that has never been registered, so you can register it in your own name on the Schrader website, and as mentioned there, you can then get free software upgrades.

This is a completely universal tool. Unlike the cheaper Bartec Trackside (which only works on the C6 and is not upgradeable), this model works on all known sensors and comes with a cable to hook the tool to a USB port on your computer to view data on the sensors you test or activate, as well as allowing you to obtain the free software upgrades as new sensors come out for new vehicles in the future.

ALL vehicles starting this 2008 model year are required by law to have tire pressure sensors and a TPMS. If you rotate tires on your other vehicles, you’ll likely need to reset the TPMS with a tool like this.

I did a relearn procedure on my C6 with the tool and below are some pictures of my computer after I hooked the tool up to view the data the tool stores in it. When you hook the tool up to a USB port on your computer it shows up as a drive in “My Computer”. As you can see in the picture below, on my computer it shows up as “Bartec WRT (E: )”. When you double-click that icon it opens a window with an Internet Explorer html document icon.

When you double click on the Internet Explorer html document icon, it opens a window with that displays some info from the last 5 sensors (in case you have a spare) that you tested.

The tool comes with a rubber boot, a USB cable, a ring magnet (for C5 sensors, or for Jeep/Chrysler or other vehicles that need a magnet to trigger the sensors), a 9 volt battery, and instructions.

I can accept PayPal payment but only an instant transfer – I just have a personal account and cannot accept credit/debit card payments. You could also send a personal check or a cashier’s check or money order.

PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks for your interest!

Bob

BTW, I also have a cheap Trackside tool for $150 shipped if you only need it for your C6.

Also, if you don’t know what this tool does, click on the picture below to see a video of using a simple Trackside type tool on my C6 to reset the TPMS after a wheel swap (this Schrader/Bartec Tech 300 would be used in exactly the same way, except the Schrader/Tech 300 tool excites the sensor almost immediately, and you don't wait for the light to go out between sensors).

Hey, Pete - thanks for the props!

Yes, the Schrader/Bartec Tech 300 is a great universal tool.

I've still got one available for $220 shipped, and the Schrader/Bartec Trackside (definitely works great on the C6, might be good on a number of other vehicles (?), but cannot be upgraded) can be had for $150 shipped. I've got a KTi/TIPS for $220 shipped also.
