Euro taillight
Where can I find 2 amber lenses for the 2 outside tail lights? I did an extensive search to no avail. Does somebody make a kit or harness for the wiring? How are the euro car's tails wired? All on for running lights or just the red ones? I've only seen one picture of this ever!

MidAmerica Motorworks used to make a kit for the 91-96 Corvettes. The kit included a wiring harness for each side of the car, four tail lights, and directions.
I have the kit at the house in a box and can take some pictures if you like.
The euro tail lights are sectioned horizontally in the middle. The top half is red and the bottom is amber in color. Two bulbs go in each housing. The lights do not sit as far in as the standard ones. When I had them in my car, I did it so there was virtually no perm. wire changes. I wired the rear harness to so that it would use one of the existing sockets via a busted out bulb that had the wires soldered to the bulb contacts. This made it so that you did not have to cut the factory stuff. There is a white wire that is in an edge connector that I pulled out of the connector, where as the directions want it cut. The brakes lights take their input from the idiot light (center high mounted light).
The last time that I looked you can buy the light assemblies in the catalogs (ecklers, Mid america, corvette central, etc.). They are like $70 each from what I recall.

I thought about getting those but decided to go with the amber only lenses version. I'm having a hell of a time tracking those down. Thanks anyways !

I have the amber lenses from Mid America. I put them on the inside rather than outside. I HAD to have amber turn signals because I had the Vette overseas in England for 3 years. When I came back I decieded to leave the lights as they were just to be different. If you go this route, you need to change the Hazard Flasher located in the center dash just above the radio. It's wired for a certain amount of lights and if you change things around and delete two fo the turn signals in the back the lights will flash too fast.
As it is now...
As it looked over in England...
The red light in the back under the bumper is a required rear fog lens at 21 watts used during foggy days and nights.
Sorry, just noticed you have a 93 Vette. Disregard the above.

Yep those are it! Of course mine are shaped a bit diferent (93 coupe). Looks great! That's what I'm going to do, only with the amber to the outside. Saw a pic of it and fell in love! I actually dig the small red light too. So you say these can be had at mid america?

I may have mis-quoted on that. I don't see mine in Mid America, but I did find them in the Eckler's calalog. For the 91-96 years, they only sell the half and half lenses, with half being red, the other half amber and where mine are 74.99 each, yours are 99.99 each and then it says you need a harness for 179.99 more.

I too am thinking of going with the euro taillamps. Mid America does have them....it's pt#614-134 on the headlight restoration page under 1984-96 Lights, Lens, & Light Assemblies. page 216 of the newest catalog with 2 c4 racing side by side.

I thought I had looked in the newest Mid America catalog and could only fine the Euro lights for the C5's, but your right, it's listed in the written part of the restoration pages, I was checking the taillights on page 74.

Just looked. I think these are the red/w amber aren't they? The ones I'm talking about are pictured above on crewzin's car. Are you sure the part # is for that type? ie. just the amber lens?

Yes, it doesn't look they make a solid amber lens for the 91-96 years, but if you say you saw them, they are either custom made or some other aftermarket Vette products dealer might carry them.

Yep, the pic I saw was for sure a euro model or something but it looked killer!! The license plate on the car looked just like CREWZIN's but the 91-96 tail light type c4. I've got 3 different browsers open right now trying to find anything resembling what I'm looking for.

What you are looking for are very common here in Australia.
In fact, most 91-96's have the full amber lens, not half red and half amber.
There are some wiring mod's that need to be done to separate the flasher lights from the brake lite circut.
It is not hard, just a little time consuming
There is someone making them here in amber...I will try to find out who it is..

The only all amber light lens Ive ever seen were the 84-90 style. The only Euro lens for the 91-96 is most likely the split jobs pictured.Theres a ZR-1 on YouTube with the Euro lights.
