Default Corvette Salvage yard in Ohio?

My buddy just bought a project 1969 BB.

Anyone know of some Corvette salvage yards in Ohio or nearby areas?

Thanks in advance.

MARKSC4; I have gotten several items both new and used from "Contemporary Corvette": a salvage yard in Bristol Penn. Had real good luck with them. Don't know how close that is to you

Michigan Corvette Recyclers in Riga, MI. Its kind of between Detroit and Toledo. Been there once...Its like a Corvette grave yard. I believe they had a website..... michigancorvette.com doesn't seem to work anymore, so I'm not sure if they're still out there. Its been a few years since I've seen it.

REPLY:

1. Arlington Auto Wrecking in Akron, Ohio . 216-434-3466. They have abot 500 cars and specialize in standard trans. and driveline parts.

2. DelCar Auto Wreckers in Westerville, Ohio. 614-882-7777

3. Duanes Classic Sales in Maimisburg, Ohio. 513-866-3475

4. Rons auto parts in Zanesville, Ohio. 614-453-7234

Tell your friend if hes going to completely restore his vette, he needs 'The Corvette Restoration Resource' and 'Vintage Parts Sources/Corvette Edition' guide books published by Vintage Parts 411 formerly called Motorhead Matchmaker 1-800-motorhead . They list all the best places for getting old parts for vettes in addition to services. Without these books, i would have been lost in my 1970 frameup restoration.

They basically have no chrome bumper cars. Their cars are pretty much all from '74 and up - from '73 and older forget it.

Unless there is a part from a mid - to late C3 that he can use on his '69 he isn't going to have much luck here.

They don't look that bad to me, actually. Some of the stuff is a bit high, but that's mainly due to the rarity.
