Flywheel question
Does anyone have info on the application of the following flywheel, which is 14" and 168 tooth:
#3988795, also has the word "NODULAR" cast into it on the block side, casting date L08.
Thanks!

'66-'74 big-blocks (except L-88) and '69-'81 small-blocks (except ZR-1) used 14" 168-tooth flywheels - it's probably one of those.

I went out and pulled all of my 168 tooth flywheels (about 15). None of them have that casting number.
Does it have a bolt pattern for a 10.5in clutch or a bolt pattern for an 11in clutch?

For a 168 tooth (14in diameter) flywheel with a bolt pattern for the 11in clutch, the bolt holes will be near the perimeter of the flywheel.
For a 168 tooth flywheel with a bolt pattern for a 10.5in clutch, the bolt holes will be about an inch away from the edge of the flywheel. There were some flywheels made with dual bolt patterns.
