Code 33

Yep, gotta know the year-for instance, the 1984 used MAP, 1985-1990 used MAF. On an 84, you would probably want to check for vacumn leaks first. On a 1985-1990 it COULD be one of the three relays, power, or burnoff most likely-and if this is the case both relays should be replaced at the same time.I stated 3 relays because-the MAF gets its voltage through control of the FP relay-per HELMS! but, if you hear the FP relay running for a few seconds after turning the key to the on position-you can ALMOST eliminate it. Very important if you're going to work on your on vette to get the Helms manuals.

If the minimum air to TPS setting is off on the larger TB,or new engine with mods, etc,it will throw a code 33 and run poorly. This happened when I tried a larger TB once before and had to figure out why it kept doing that.Im not saying this is your problem, but if you cannot get it figured out,try putting ths stock TB back on and set the minimum air and TPS and see what happens then.
A code 33 is also an unrealistic flow of air into the engine that the computer is seeing due to incorrectly adjusted minimum air speed/TPS.
Good Luck!
