You could start with Gene's Kar shop http://www.geneskarshop.com/ and maybe find some used one's or contact Ken Fichtner http://www.fichtnerchevrolet.com/en_US/ or Fred Beans http://www.fredbeans.com/ both supporting dealers here on the forum. Make sure you let them know you're a forum member.

The bladders are the inflatable cushions in the power sportseats that provide the upper and lower lumbar support and the side bolsters.

You could compare pricing at GMParts direct. www.gmpartsdirect.com They are usually quite good on the price of the part but generally bury you with the shipping cost.

It looks like the part number is the same for both seats. I'd confirm the part number with the dealer.

Drivers seat 12455492
Passengers seat 12455492

It's a bit confusing since GM changed the design in '99 from a two bladder to a one bladder system.

The contacts that I'd given you above are not "3rd parties" they are Chevy dealers that will give you the best price on parts, not retail. You will pay thru the nose if you just go to your local Chevy dealer.

thanx Paul...
actually my 99 has 2 lumbar bladders in the drivers seat...
ive never taken the pass seat apart as it works fine however i assume they are the same...
why only one part # per seat?
do they come in a full kit for the entire seat?
i'll check into that...
i appreciate your help...

I'm not sure what prompted the design change.

Here are a couple of photos of the two styles from the parts list. Let me know if you need the part numbers for the old style.

thanx again and i am ashamed to say that i was mistaken about the year of my C5...it IS a 2000...
see...i have several cars and to be honest with you, i dont drive the C5 much at all...i mostly drive the C3 (79) or my truck and the wife drives the C5 or her oldsmobile...sorry :o

i just got back from a cruise in the C5 and while i was driving i mentioned to her...is this a 99 or a 2000? and she reminded me that the olds is a 99 ...man do i feel stupid!
