Default Engine ID please 3970010 --- 68 to 69 327?

Hi,

I am helping a friend ID a motor. The numbers he can find are:
# 3970010 I think this is a 1970 350 block casting number
The date code he gave me is O L160 ( don't know if there is a gap between the O and the L160?) this Dec 1970?
The stamp pad has 11w169948 V 123oCJG
(said the letter between 123 and CJG was small O )

Thanks for the help

Andy

I think the 3970010 was used for 327, 302, and 350 . Is there any way to tell exactly what it is? Is there more info needed?

FASTZ, did you get your brakes to let go, hope so. I had an old VW Giha that where the brakes would rust to the drums often, a dump of the clutch worked every time

Thanks

Yup, 12/70 Saginaw casting, Flint-built 350/270hp 4-speed originally installed in a '71 Nova built at Willow Run. About seven million 3970010 blocks were cast from 1969-1979, used in all car lines and trucks in many different configurations.
