the Lt-4 was only available with the stick shift. If it is an auto, it is an LT-1.

There's also a "check digit" in the VIN that he'll want to look for, it's an "8", but I can't remember what position it's in. On LT1s, it's a "J", IIRC.

8th VIN digit is "5" for the LT4 and "P" for the LT1. Maybe a good idea to check in case someone is trying to pass off a '95 6-speed.

6,359 LT4's were built in 1996 (the only year of production). Of that number, 1,000 went into the Grand Sport, so 5,359 were left for CE's and "base" coupes and convertibles.
