Eh, c4 seats are definitely sportier looking, and are more comfortable - at least for me. It's been done before, not to mention talked about - have you tried a search?
Anyway, IF they could be had for next to nothing, it might be something to think about, just to make it a little easier to get in and out of the car, but I'd rather re-wrap my old ones.

Do you have the sport seats in your 95? If not you may want to consider them. Mine are very comfortable for long drives.
In answer to your question however I've never heard of someone putting C5 seats in a C4

Melting Slicks
try a search for "wet okoles" and check out some of the examples.
they are a nice looking alternative for covering and very durable.
some of the vendors carry replacement seat foam thats actually not to bad a price.check ecklers.
theres also aftermarket seats that fit pretty good, corbeau for one.
but in answer,i havent seen a c5 seat in a c4.the cockpits quite a bit different and i cant imagine them looking "correct".

You can mount the C5 seat on the C4 track and it will work.
Downside, the lateral support sucks, there is none
They sit taller as mentioned, if you wear a helmet for racing, count on have a kink in your neck.
They look like crap in the C4, definately out of place
The leather sucks as mentioned

Its generally accepted that the C4 seats are far better than the C5 seats. Especially the C4 sport seats. Even the C5 guys will admit that much [most of em anyways]. I'd stick with the stockers and get em fixed. They'll last longer too.

This C5 guy will tell that the C4 sport seats are way better than the C5 sport seats.
