I use the goodyear gatorback belts and they seem to work well(no squeaking) and the don't cost an arm and a leg.

What are the part numbers for the Gatorback fan belts for those of us using ASP Underdrive Pulleys?

Order mine through Autozone. They occasionally run a sale.

Here are the Goodyear part numbers for a 1998:

Poly-V Belts
4040420 Poly-V, w/AC
4060802 Poly-V, Alt & PS

I also use a 10mm shorter than stock belt and has been working beautifully for over a year.

Interesting that they changed the belt size on Alt, power steering belt for only two years according to the Goodyear website. 1999-2000 use the 4060798 and all the other C5 years use the 4060802.

Tensioner and idler pulley numbers are all the same all model years. So they must have used a different size pulley on either the power steering pump or alternater those years. Very small difference since the belt length works out to only 4/10 of an inch (4060798 is smaller).

Geez, I have too much time on my hands tonite, I'm outta here !!
