Default question on cams

I had the Geof Jeal cams in my 368 and they were obnoxious rumpety rump cams, Bill K said thay would bring 470 rwhp or 560 net. I got rid of them and got SGC's phase 1 cams. Aaron says they will get 460 rwhp and idle smoothly, how is this possible? Bill K and Milstead on the other hand say that SGC's cams will not get that kind of hp. Jeff is the only one I know who has the phase 1 and he has not dynoed his yet. Any comments

Ive recently taken a set of these j**l cams out of my motor, same obnoxious rumpty rump type by the sound of it,ive sent them off to get a cam card and for feedback.

If its anything to go by when i dynod my car in 2002 with these rumpety cams in a 415 i made 515 FWHP.
Just recently with the standard cams back in my 418 my car dynod 545 FWHP
The only difference was i ran a j**l airbox on the 415 and a stock airbox on the 418

I now need to go and lie down

James, you will be putting out good numbers. Trust me. I am the first to be running on the revised cams. You won't be disappointed.

When do you get your car back?

I also had the Jeal cams in my 368.
You are lucky you removed them before destroying your valvetrain like I did. I will post pictures of the cams and lifters soon, not a nice view.

About what Kirchhofer says...

Frank, Aaron told me that the phase 1 cams were from a 20 yar old jaguar profile the ones they are using now are from the turbo project. Mine are there now being redone, for free I might add thanks to Aarons generosity.
