Default Built in Radar Detector

Does anyone know of a good built in radar detector besides Valentine. I also live in CA where it's illegal to use a jammer so I just want the detector. Thanks.

I just got a new Bel 995 for my C6 and it works great. I've been told it's one of the best you can get.

I did an escort SR7 and I think this is the way to go...especially with the in dash LED and mute button which really work great. The control unit is hidden out of the way and there is no way to know that the car is "protected".

The only "built-in" radar detector I know of is the K40. Like other detectors, it's not as good as the Valentine 1 detector for a number of reasons. But it is built-in.

Do a search on "radar" and you should see many posts on the subject.

Did you do the sr7 on your C6 or C5. Also, do you have a front license plate, I don't, so I don't know if they need that to mount to. Thanks.

Default The only radar detector for a vetter imo>

is the new SR7 or updated SR1, which btw has been proven over and over again to be the absolute best hidden detector. I've used most all of the escorts which are reasonably good mind you but nothing imo matches the SR1, now the SR7!!

I have a C6 with no front plate. The SR7 is just great. I'd never do a windshield mount in this car for a bunch of reasons. You don't need a front plate for a hidden install. I did not do the rear laser mount because nobody uses rear laser and it would have looked too obvious. I preferred the Stealth approach at the cost of giving up the rear laser detection.

I have the sr7 in both vehicles and love it and it has saved me from many tickets .... but I did get a ticket once doing 95 in a 55 because the officer was just over the hill and I was less than 50 yards and passport said no jammer works when you are less than 50 yards and the laser is triggered to short range to jam. Not sure if thats true but it got me.

Radar Jammers those would fall under the FCC's jurisdiction (transmitter)so they would be banned everywhere else too. Also a study was done and the results indicated they don't perform.. especially at the prices you pay for the equipment and violating a federal law when caught.
Also don't forget they can get you using VASCAR and no detector, jammer whatever is going to help you on that one. Airplanes in coordination with ground units to identify speedsters and stop them. They have lots of fun in this detail

Default built in radar detector

I Stayed In Bg For A Day After Delivery To Have A K40-2000 Installed. The Display Is Two Little Red Led's On The Steering Column That You Only See When You Are Being 'painted'. It Paid For Itself A Half Dozen Time Over The Next 2500 Miles To The Coast. May Not Be The Best But It Sure Worked For Me.

Any pics of the K40 I remember someone posting pics and I would drive my car to BG to get that system over my SR7 because that was sweet.

Jammers in general don't work - don't be scammed. Here are some links.

Default ACTIVE Jammers DO work but only on X and K band not KA yet!!!

First off, do not believe anything put out by RADARTEST.COM because they are run by ESCORT radar and Craig Peterson that runs it is paid by Escort to spin his lies into so-called "REVIEWS."

This is the only active jammer that works and it was tested by SML successfully jamming all X and K band analog and digital radar guns up to 200 feet before they punch through. It was originally called the STEALTH VRCD then it became the Phantom RCD then it became the Phantom RCD XP then it became the Scorpion RCD XP. The XP version of the Phantom and the Scorpion jam digital radar guns and I believe that the other versions don't jam digital guns. Don't confuse the PHANTOM RCD XP with the "PHANTOM" crap that is made by ROCKY MOUNTAIN RADAR because that is a bunch of useless plastic with blinking lights with a ticket rebate because it doesn't JAM anything.

If you are looking for the best laser jammer, look no further than the Blinder M20 (small cars) or M40 (big trucks or SUVs) laser jammer as tested by SML to be the best all-around protection against all laser guns American and European. It jammed all laser guns 117 out of 120 times from the front and the rear and didn't allow them to get a distance or speed measurement.

Please start a new thread instead of reviving an old one, especially one this old.
