Default Red Reflectors in Door Panel

Anybody altered these in any way? do they even serve a purpose?

they've come to bug me quiet a bit, wondering why gm put bicycle reflectors in my door panels.

If your door is open at night and a car comes down the road, the reflectors will be seen by that car, so you don't get hit. It makes sense to have them there. Many times I almost hit someone with their door open on a dark night going around a corner and they didn't think about keeping the door in tight.

My Z24 had reflectors in the door.

Plus you can adjust the window by popping off the reflector

I agree. It is a safety item for the car.

That's one thing I love about this car. Everything is there for a reason. Whether we like it or not. But there are 30% fewer parts in this Vette compared to the C4. Which is a smaller car. There were even contests and rewards for people that came up with new materials and ways of saving weight. As you can see I am a lover of this vehicle. The best Vette yet.

yes, I can't count the number of times I've had my car door open and my car be parrallel to the street so another car coming down the street could hit me.

whateva, i suppose some people need it.
