does any one know anything about the teal 91 zr1(modified by drm)
on ebay right now?(4/7/04) What does "exceededs mechanical limits" on the title mean? I probably won't be able to afford it as I am blue collar but if I keep trying maybe I can sneak up on a deal. I still kick myself for missing a 90 model for 16k in 1998 because I was unsure of my job. Thanks in advance for any info provided.

Re: ebay drm zr1 (solid dobe)
That car was local to me when it was on ebay I think 9 or so months ago. It sold for 25K then.
I think it was a good deal for the mods that were done to it, the original owner is a trans am series racer, and the ZR-1 was the car he learned on. It has seen some track time, but I believe it was very well maintained.
I drove the car, and it handled and stopped very well (coil overs, and willwoods). The interior was in pretty cood shape, the exterior was a bit worn. Not bad looking from 15 feet away.
I think the current owner is asking 30K right? still not a bad deal for all the mods.
The reason I didn't go for it were 1) exterior condition, 2) was told it burns a quart of oil every 500-700 miles.
I didn't see any smoke at all when I drove it, maybe only uses that much oil when he was racing it.
I think I have better pics than what are on ebay.

Re: ebay drm zr1 (90 Corvette ZR-1)
It did not have that title when in mass, and I met the original owner so I know the miles are right. Sounds like the DMV messed up where the current owner registered it. If I was him I would try to get that cleared up...

Re: ebay drm zr1 (xlr8nflorida)
If i have read the description right it only has 15K on the engine upgrade plus the other upgraded items, I would consider that low milage because dont they go through th entire engine when they do a 368. Any one want to buy a clean yellow 92 with 40k on it it for 23.5k ? Seriously that should be an awesome ride at a decent price.

Rough,rough,rough!
I have been looking at this car as well. I emailed the seller (he had stated that he might be interested in a trade), but have yet to hear back from him. The above comment has me concerned, however. From the pics, it looks pretty clean! All the mods are tasteful, and would save me money from doing them myself in the long run.

Re: ebay drm zr1
Well, I spoke with the seller, and he seems interested in taking my car on trade. The only thing left now is to work out financing the rest. I will be calling him tomorrow after I speak with the bank to set up an appointment to drive it! I guess we will just have to see.
