How do I 'set' the TPS and IAC...93 LT-1 ?
Someone mentioned they set their TPS and IAC and their car has never run better. I asked them how to do it, and they never responded back.
Recently I put a new TPS sensor in, at WOT the new TPS registered 4.06 volts which showed 99% throttle position on my Auto XRay scantool.
However, my old TPS sensor showed 4.62 volts at WOT and 99% throttle position on my auto xray.
I figure I might be 'ok' because it still shows 99% throttle (somehow my ECM learned that 4.06 volts meant WOT)
However, I am still curious as to how one 'sets' both IAC and TPS
I should mention my car always seems rich, with its current mods, at idle.
I have a 93 LT-1 w/hot cam kit, ed wright chip, LT headers, no cats.
Any help would be appreciated,
Dave

I think your TPS is the same as the one on my 92. In which case, it is non- adjustable. According to the Helms, it is self zeroing (0% open at idle) at .3-.9v. ...it does mention that if a new TPS is installed, the TECH 1 unit (@ the dlr unless you just happen to have one around the house :D ) will reset it for ASR functions.

The methods for setting IAC & TPS are on my site (link in sig. below) but, as mentioned, your TPS is not adjustable though the ECM still uses OBD-I.
Beginning in '90, even if you cut adjusting slots into the TPS mount the ECM will simply override any "tweaks".

diz, TPS is not adjustable as mentioned earlier. However IAC is adjusted by the following. Pg 6E3-C2-5 (VIN P):
The IAC valve can be reset by doing the following: depress accelerator pedal slightly, start and run engine for five seconds, then turn ignition "off" for ten seconds.
