Hi everyone,

Just want to make a little announcement that we are starting a Corvette Club here in our little town of Okeechobee. The very first meeting will be held at Barracuda's Sports Grillery, located @ 10117 North Hwy. 441.
Patsy Shearer of the National Council on Corvette Clubs will be there.
Light refreshments will be provided. Everyone is welcome! Now's your chance to come visit! I would love to see the whole parking lot overflowing with Corvettes!!! Even if you have no desire to join the club, it would be wonderful to see your Corvette, er... I mean you there!!!

thanks, rob.... very funny !!! Looks like you could use a few horses to get you here!!! Does your friend in town drive a vette ??? Trying to locate them all to get a count on how many horses we'll be needin' ya know ???

No he don't. Although your right pushing the chassis in and out of the garage is a pain a a few horses would help.

I'm sure you will have more GM horses at your meeting than you can shake a stick at!

I run sales calls down there sometimes. Can't stand the long drive. Maybe you guys will give me a little better reason to come down there!

just checked out your bryngit website........very interesting, very cool......I'll be joining that!!! By all means, please come down & visit us. You and your hot vette. bryngiton!!! Can't promise the lovebugs won't attack or that it won't rain!!! Take 441 down & the turnpike back. Lots of wildlife on 441 @ night. :party: :party:

Thanks a bunch for introducing me to the forum!!! I'm enjoying it so much. :hurray: It's a blast and so informative. And of course, the vettes are sooooooooo hot :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: I think I'm addicted!!! Anyway, like I told litevette...can't do anything about the weather or lovebug factor :skep: We'll just hope for the best. :blueangel:

I'll call ya that Friday or Saturday to remind ya. Sure hope the beige beauty is there. Love to drool over her. I'll let you drive mine if you let me drive your's....... :steering: :steering:

glad you are enjoying the forum...i thought that you would...
a lot of really great folks here and its probably the worlds largest concentrated Corvette information center that exists... :yesnod:

as far as the weather goes...i definetly will be there but i can not and will not :rolleyes: purposely or knowingly drive my vette in the rain...
the reason being is the undercarraige...i am VERY fortunate in that the entire underneath is still black...factory black...with very little to no brown...
nor sand for that matter...actually the car has been garage kept all of its life and it IS a southern car hense, no ice, snow and salt...
i know this sounds stupid but i actually put the car on stands occationaly and get under there with a bottle of cleaner and a roll of paper towells and clean up...now, dont get me wrong here, other than rain it IS a daily driver...its by no means a show car...but it is very clean under there... :)

as far as driving each others cars goes...im up for that! :thumbs:
ive never driven a C-4 before :)
and the love bugs...AAAGGGHHHH!!!!! i HATE those things!
anyone that has never spent time down here can not imagine what thats like!
and twice a year!!!

hey sign guy.....thank you :hurray: how sweet. Can't imagine why lots of guys/gals wouldn't want to drive their machines to the 'big town' er... ;) , small town. ( I forgot.......this being a BIG weekend here & all. :hat How many people would you guess come here for the weekend??? a lot I know.

anyway, whoever shows up, that's cool. I know that we have potential to grow & grow..things don't just happen overnight. BTW......Mr. Manny Montgomery, the new Competition Director for NCCC will be here from Jaxonville, along with Patsy Shearer, who took Manny's place as Regional Membership Director. today, I sent you an e-mail with pics from their convention in Hagerstown, MD. which was last week.... Next year it's in Las Vegas :party: :party:
