Normal oil pressure?
What would be considered normal oil pressure vs. high? Cruising at 2k rpm in 5th, about 65mph, oil temp 225, outside temp approx 88, oil pressure on DIC shows 71#. Idling, pressure under same temp conditions was 57#. Car does not use any oil, runs fine. 6,000 miles on car - '03 MN6 Coupe, Blackwing & Borla Stingers. Opinions?

Sounds like you're well within the normal range. Especially since it's for a new car. It may start to come down a tad as the miles add up.

MINIMUM Oil pressure - Hot
24 psig at 4000 rpm
18 psig at 2000 rpm
6 psig at 1000 rpm.
What weight oil are you running? GM has a warning about 20w50 oil causing engine damage.
24 psig at 4000 rpm
18 psig at 2000 rpm
6 psig at 1000 rpm.

Hmmm... Every engine is different, but that seems high to me too, what's your oil level? Could you possibly have to much oil in the engine?
Mine runs around between 30 and 45, and it has 7k miles on it.

I'm not running 20w50, I'm running Mobil 1 5w30, just like the manual says, 6.5 quarts of it, it's just below the full line on the dipstick. It runs fine and is not doing anything unusual.

Sounds very high, but proably not a concern. Certainly better than low.
Courious why it would be this high !!!
