Motion paint scheme
I am considering adding a white Baldwin Motion style stripe to my 1970. I have seen two different schemes used by Baldwin Motion. Both have the stripe start on the hood and go down the top to the rear where it fans out engulfing the entire back end. Some have a spear on the side that runs almost to the front wheel, while some go straight down throught the rear sidemarkers.
Can anyone give me the history on these two different styles?

You need to find Joel Rosen if you can. He was responsible for the Baldwin-Motion cars. I've seen both paint schemes, but do not know if there was a specific reason for the change to (or from) the door spear. Mr. Rosen could enlighten us on that point. Personally, I think the cars look better without the door spear paint.

Re: Motion paint scheme (Easy Mike)
Here's an older view of mine. I think the guy who had it painted was thinking along the B-M scheme. The stripe is 15 inches wide with a 1/4 inch space on each side then another stripe 1/4 inch wide. The hood in the pic is new, but the other hood had the stripe end in a tip about 6 inches from the front edge of the hood. I wish I had the B-M hood.:(
Here's another with the LeMan's fuel filler.... and yes, that is a CF sticker in the rear window!:)

You should find BamaVettes and talk with him. Doesn't he have a Baldwin Motion shark? I've seen him post in the last day or so. :)
